Apple iMac 27 inch (Thunderbolt) Review
The Apple iMac 27 inch (Thunderbolt) is the newest top-of-the-line iMac, with a huge 27-inch display, 2,560 by 1,440 (larger than 1080p HD) screen resolution, High end discreet 3D graphics, with 2 Thunderbolt ports, supports two external displays, 802.11a/b/g/n 5GHz WiFi. And wireless keyboard and mouse. It is the most expensive of the other entire high end all in one desk tops.
But still, it’s not enough to dethrone the HP TouchSmart 610-1065qd as the high-end all in one desktop Editor’s Choice. The latter offers quad-core power, a touch-screen display, and an innovative screen reclining feature, all for about $200 less.
Apple iMac 27 inch is definitely the largest all-in-one available in the market with an edge-to-edge glass covering Super HD LED 27-inch display that boasts of a resolution of 2560 x 1440.The design of the device stays true to tradition with a strong built aluminum and chassis and all the ports neatly laid out at the rear of the device.
Its wireless keyboard is chicklet style, slim and very comfortable to type on and the mouse is a multi-touch magic mouse. Both device runs on two AA batteries.
With Apple iMac 27 inch, multimedia and entertainment is very exciting and the best all in one display money can buy. The audio output that is loud, crisp and very clear is one of the best available in the market. It was fun using iMac HD webcam where it’s great taking advantage of the full screen.
The disadvantage to Apple iMac 27 inch is the display, the screen is very glossy making it vulnerable to bright light.
Apple’s OS is one of the best and with preloaded apps such as iPhoto, photo booth, iMovie and with different apps available out of the box, it is without hesitation this is the best multimedia all in one out there. You could have Safari, iTunes, iPhoto, PhotoBooth, Mail and a lot more open on the large computer screen and Apple’s user interface ensures that your monitor never looks messy.
