Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Release Date and Rumors
Several rumors have indicated Samsung will really call the following Note the Galaxy Note 7, as an alternative to the Galaxy Note 6, leaping a digit. Although not yet supported by Samsung itself, serial leaker Evan Blass has tweeted the Note 7 branding, which given his track record wrong leaks, makes the name change quite possible.
The change in name would be to say to make sure the Note smartphone lines up with both other main Samsung started in March – the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. It is a thing that makes entire sense so we’ll be referring to another Note as the Note 7 for the benefit of the attribute.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 started on 13 August 2015 alongside the Galaxy S6 edge, but the Note was not designed for European waters in a bid to drive the S6 edge as the phablet to contemplate instead. Reports indicate Samsung considers this to be a blunder however and it’s since been indicated the Galaxy Note 7 will bring the Note phone back to the United Kingdom in favor of the Galaxy S7 edge.
Sources maintain the Galaxy Note 6 will start in Europe in August 2016, which matches with the firm’s previous release cycle from a year ago. Preceding to 2015, the Note smartphone used to launch at the start of September at IFA.
On 2 June, celebrated leakster Evan Blass tweeted: “Galaxy Note 6/7 launching event is nearly just two months away.” This implies we can anticipate Samsung’s next Note model to debut within the first week of August, more than likely 2 August following a recent leak of an alleged screenshot of the Unpacked occasion invitation.
As for when the Galaxy Note 7 will reach store shelves, Blass has promised it is going to release in the US on the week of 15 August, indicating a few weeks after its statement.
Rumours have indicated the Note 7’s design will appear similar to the Galaxy S7 edge with the inclusion of an S Pen. There happen to be reports of both curved and flat variations over the last few months but more recent claims, in the Electronic Times, indicate we only going to see a curved model without any level version offered. These gossips were further corroborated by The Korea Herald at the conclusion of June, and the Samsung-appearing teaser for the Unpacked occasion that reads: “Write on the edge of something amazing”.
Based on some patterns from @OnLeaks, sourced for USwitch, the Note 6 is said to be around 153.5millimeter x 73.9mm x 7.9mm, placing it around the same size as the Note 5. Additionally, it is rumored to be coming with IP68 water and dust resistance, something both the S7 and S7 edge offer, and an iris scanner may also apparently be on board the Note 7.
The claim of an iris scanner is something the patterns from @OnLeaks supported, including a leaked screenshot from Samsung’s Galaxy Beta Software and more lately, Evan Blass on Twitter. What is more, a leaked panel shown off by Android Authority appears to reveal clear windows for the rumored detector. Additional details happen to be tight though so isn’t clear if it’d be infrared like Fujitsu, a light like the Lumia 950, or something more advanced. Or none of the preceding.
The one characteristic that may almost surely seem is the S Pen as we mentioned. It is often asserted the S Pen will be called E S-PEN for another version but isn’t clear what this really means as yet. We suppose it’s going to mean it’s more complex and able, though. A recent escape from iGyaan promised the new S Pen offer enhanced Bluetooth LE, that may allow for longer use and more precise closeness cautions.
According to Blass, the Note 7 will arrive in black , silver and blue colour choices.
Rumours indicate the Note 7 will continue the Super AMOLED tendency preceding Note device have offered but raise the screen size very slightly from 5.7-inches to 5.8-inches. Having said that, Evan Blass has maintained the Note 7 will stick to 5.7-inches so the size is still up in the air.
The resolution can be said to be sticking to Quad HD. If the size increase rumour is accurate, the Note 7 is going to have a somewhat lower pixel density of 506ppi compared to 515ppi but this isn’t going to be noticeable to the human eye.
Sammobile additionally reported a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with a Quad HD resolution, supporting most other rumours, but it also proposed a curved screen, which a Weibo user additionally reported. It isn’t clear whether there will just be a curved Note 7 phone as some reports have indicated, or if Samsung will offer both arch and flat versions.
There has additionally been a discussion of a Note 6 Lite. This latter device can be said to be coming with a 5.8-inch screen also but the resolution is reported to drop to Full HD.
The Note 7 will have a 12-megapixel primary camera offering “Super OIS Plus”, and it will feature an infrared-based autofocus. Evan Blass, in addition, has indicated 12-megapixels will function as back resolution, and he promises it’ll be Double Pixels, like the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
There has additionally been a discussion of double back cameras after business sources spoke to China’s Zol. Blass is now the only one to detail the front-facing camera detector, which he promises to be 5-megapixels.
Another report indicated the South Korean firm is working on a fresh technology called Smart Glow. This can be promised to be a ring of light encircling the rear camera which will light as much as convey tellings and more to the user when the unit is lying face down, or when a selfie has been shot using the back camera.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge both have 12-megapixel back cameras and a 5-megapixel front camera so if Blass’s info is accurate, it seems like the business might use exactly the same detectors for the Note 7. This would make sense given the compliments both the S7 and S7 edge have received. Both front and the back cameras offer an aperture of f/1.7 to help them shine in low light conditions so we had like to find the same abilities in the Note 7 at the very least.
Samsung is, in addition, asserted to be taking care of a fresh 1/2.3-inch detector that will be accompanied by a lens with an aperture of f/1.4, which is said to offer 17 per cent lighter, plus the additional light the larger detector will bring. It isn’t clear if this new camera will be prepared for the Note 7 yet, but fingers crossed.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an octa-center Exynos chipset, 4GB or RAM and 32GB of 64GB of internal memory. The aluminium body means microSD support was removed as was a removable battery, the capacity of which dropped to 3000mAh from the 3200mAh of its forerunner.
The Galaxy Note 7 is said to be coming with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos chipset, determined by the area, together with 6GB of RAM, in accordance with Weibo. Precisely the same website has indicated it’ll be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, which will be effective at supporting up to 8GB of RAM.
Samsung’s S7 and S7 edge both come in two versions, among which offers the Qualcomm SD820 chip and the other of which uses the in-house Exynos Octa 8 central processing unit so the idea of two forms depending on area is possible, although whether it the support will be 6GB or 8GB of RAM is uncertain. Interestingly, Samsung unveiled a new 10nm LPDDR4 6GB RAM processor in China in May 2016, so maybe it’ll embrace that for the Note 7.
Storage alternatives are touted as 64GB and 128GB in one Weibo report, while another asserted 256GB of storage would be on board. Blass tweeted the Note 7 would be offered with 64GB of RAM and microSD support but whether that will function as the only version is uncertain.
If the Note 7 arrives in a curved and level variant, odds are they’ll both offer the exact same specs, like the S7 and S7 edge does. The Note 6 Lite, on the other hand, is reported to be coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB of RAM.
In accordance with SamMobile, the successor to the Galaxy Note 5 will feature a USB Type-C interface, something which the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge missed off their spec sheets and something that may be seen in the @OnLeaks leaves. Samsung is expected to embrace the reversible connector for the Note 7 though, but it is unknown if it is going to support USB 3.1 or an older standard. If the Note 7 were to support USB 3.1, the connector would supply USB Electricity Delivery 2.0 for faster device charging as well as the skill to deliver HDMI and Screen Interface video signals.
Battery capacity was rumoured to be around 4000mAh, together with 4200mAh and 3600mAh, but isn’t clear whether the Note 7 will return to offering a removable battery like preceding Note devices before the Note 5. We guess not.
The Note 6 Lite can also be rumoured to be coming with a 4000mAh battery capacity, which if true means it might just take a hit on the display resolution and central processing unit in comparison to the primary device.
